Sun's Up Construction, LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), which operates PieceWrk, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We may collect the following personal information:

• Name and email address (for account creation and authentication)
• Company information (name, address, industry)
• Employee information (names, roles, contact details)
• Project and customer data you input into the application
• Usage data and analytics to improve our services

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device information (type, operating system, unique identifiers)
• Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time stamps)
• Usage patterns and preferences
• Precise location data (GPS), collected only if you grant permission. When you capture photos for work, they may be geotagged so the photo can be tied to a jobsite, and that location is visible to your employer. You may deny location access and still use the app, including uploading photos.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect biometric identifiers (such as fingerprints or facial-recognition data), and we do not sell your personal information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Provide, operate, and maintain our Service
• Improve, personalize, and expand our Service
• Understand and analyze how you use our Service
• Develop new products, services, features, and functionality
• Communicate with you for customer service and support
• Send you updates, security alerts, and administrative messages
• Prevent fraud and ensure security of our Service
• Comply with legal obligations

7.1 How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, email office@sunsupconstruction.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days, as required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

7.2 We Do Not Sell or Share Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of any sale or sharing (which we do not do).

7.3 Deleting Your Account

You may delete your account and associated personal information at any time from within the app (Menu → Privacy & Your Data → Delete My Account), by following the steps at app.sunsupconstruction.com/account/delete, or by emailing office@sunsupconstruction.com. Some records (for example, payroll and certified-payroll records) must be retained for periods required by labor and tax law; we will delete or anonymize the remainder.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

We use the following third-party services. The complete list, including what data each one handles, is maintained at /subprocessors.

• Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage
• Vercel: Application hosting and infrastructure
• Google Services: Email delivery, address lookup and map imagery, and text extraction from uploaded plans and documents (Document AI / Cloud Vision)
• Expo: Mobile application builds and push notification delivery
• Sentry: Crash and error reporting, and sampled web session replay
• Anthropic: In-app AI assistant, photo and plan analysis, and drafted summaries
• OpenAI: Voice-to-text transcription, and backup text extraction from uploaded plans and documents
• Intuit QuickBooks: Accounting sync, only for companies that connect QuickBooks Online
• GoHighLevel: CRM sync, only for companies that connect it
• Visual Crossing and Open-Meteo: Jobsite weather forecasts (location coordinates only)

9.1 AI Features

We use third-party AI providers to power in-app assistant conversations, extract text from plan sets and documents you upload, draft report summaries, and convert voice input to text.

What is sent. The text of your assistant messages, documents and plans you submit for extraction, short voice recordings you make for dictation, and photos you upload, which may be analyzed to check image quality, screen for unsafe content, and categorize the work shown. Video is not sent to AI providers.

Voice recordings. Audio is transmitted for transcription, converted to text, and not retained after the request completes.

Limited use. These providers act as service providers processing data on our behalf under contract. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes, and your information is not used to train their models.

Assistant actions. At your direction, the assistant can read and update records in your PieceWrk account, such as attaching a photo or updating a production entry.

No sale, no advertising. Consistent with Section 7.2, we do not sell your information, and AI features are not used for advertising or profiling.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and implement appropriate safeguards to protect your information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
